The Esperti-Peterson Advanced Studies and ALI-ABA Estate Planning In-Depth programs are in-depth explorations of the specific estate planning needs and wealth transfer problems facing clients with a net worth of $3 million to $25 million, and the techniques used to solve those problems.
Whitney L. Sorrell advises individuals, families, and businesses on legal matters relating to estate planning, business transactions, trust administration and probate, IRS audits, appeals, and tax court matters, as well as income and estate tax planning. Prior to practicing law, Whitney worked five years for the United States Treasury, Internal Revenue Service as a revenue agent in the Phoenix District Office.
Whitney became a certified public accountant (CPA) in 1993; is a frequent author of estate planning and tax articles published in various journals; and is a national presenter on tax, business, and estate planning topics. In 2019, WealthCounsel presented Whitney with the Scholarship Award for leadership in researching and teaching estate planning lawyers across the nation on sophisticated estate tax planning techniques.
